Accessibility
Last updated August 1, 2026
Most of the people this site is built for are over 65. Accessibility is not a compliance afterthought here — it is the primary audience requirement.
What we have done
- Larger base text. Body copy is set at 18px rather than the usual 16px, with a line height chosen for sustained reading.
- Contrast. Text and interface colours are chosen to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
- Keyboard access. Every interactive element is reachable by keyboard and shows a clearly visible focus outline. A skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the main content.
- Large targets. Buttons and links are sized for comfortable tapping, at a minimum of 48px tall.
- Charts are not images. Every data visualisation carries the same numbers in a real table for screen readers, rather than being an inaccessible graphic.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, all animation and smooth scrolling is switched off automatically.
- Works without JavaScript. Content, navigation and the FAQ accordions all function with JavaScript disabled.
- Semantic structure. One H1 per page, ordered headings, real landmarks, and descriptive link text rather than "click here".
Standard we aim for
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We test with keyboard navigation, browser zoom to 200%, and at screen widths down to 320px.
Known limitations
We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit or end-to-end screen reader testing across all assistive technologies. Where this site links to insurance carrier or government websites, we do not control the accessibility of those destinations.
If something does not work
Please tell us. Accessibility problems are treated as bugs, not as feedback to file away. Call (920) 455-5547 or email [email protected] and describe what you were trying to do and what happened. We will fix it and, in the meantime, give you the same information another way.
Getting information in another format
Anything on this site can be provided by phone, in large print, or posted to you. Nothing on this website is information you can only get by using this website — just call and ask.
Have a question about your coverage?
We're a call away — no fee and no pressure. Talk through your Medicare, ACA or supplemental options with a licensed agent whenever it's convenient for you.
